I have a 17" widescreen laptop, and it's HEAVY, so I wanted to find something smaller that I wouldn't mind carrying around with me. The Acer Aspire One is so lightweight and tiny.
I love everything about this laptop. I especially love that it comes with Windows XP rather than Vista. You can easily access the internet if there is a wireless connection available. It has plenty of USB slots.
You cannot use dvds or cds on this computer. That is not an issue for me, but it might be for some people.
My only complaint, and it's not even a big enough issue to lower my rating, is about the mouse/trackpad thing. Sometimes the computer starts doing wacky stuff, like zooming in and out when I'm browsing the internet. I don't press down when I'm using the track pad, but it must be registering something... I must be doing something accidentally, but I haven't exactly figured it out yet. Maybe I can change the settings somewhere, but it's just awkward.
