I bought my wife an AA1, 1G Ram, 160G HD, XP Home, 6 Cell, Black, and she absolutely loves it. I'll soon be buying myself one! I researched for weeks before buying. I just can't believe how much punch this little thing packs, and the price had me wondering. I got mine for $379 shipped and it's worth every penny. Yeah, you can hear the fan a bit, so what, it's actually a reassurance that the fan works for me, and the wife doesn't notice it at all. Only problem we had was the slow wireless connection. But after reading some blogs on the AA1 forum I joined, all I had to do was adjust my power saving features then WOW this thing clicks right along. Loaded office 2007, works like a champ. Haven't messed with BIOS upgrade or other upgrades folks are talking about. My wife is more than happy with the performance of her AA1 so if it isn't broke we aren't going to mess with it. The quality of the web cam is amazing, my wife uses yahoo messenger and Skype and it works great. Some complain about the speakers, but I didn't buy it to use it as a boom box anyway. The wife and I are happy with the sound, and it works great for chatting. Yeah the glossy finish is a fingerprint magnet, I'm sure ACER has gotten the hint by now and will go matt. Other than that, it's the perfect little notebook and travel companion. Oh yeah, battery life... awesome. Wife has gotten 4-5 hours and she watches a lot of music videos and plays music through it all the time. No complaints, it's a keeper!
