I bought this because I found myself having to break down my home laptop to tote it out with me to school or to the local coffee shop when I needed a different place to do my work. This nifty little machine provides exactly what I need: Wi-Fi access and word processing without having to lug a large computer (and all its acoutrements) around. I downloaded Open Office to serve in place of my Office software (great freeware). I am purchasing a separate CD drive for loading specific programs (like my stats software). What I love is that I have portability without breaking my back and greater flexibility that my PDA could provide. If I'm out, I can access my files, download articles from my library, and either surf or work on projects. It's just what I need as a graduate student.
