I received my Acer Aspire One for Christmas and have loved it from the start. The setup was painless. The Acer recognized my wireless network immediately. I haven't noticed the noisy fan issues that some have mentioned. While I haven't ran the battery completely down, I believe the six cell battery will provide close to six hours, as advertised. I did remove McAfee from the machine. It will bog down even a powerful computer, and installed the free Avast antivirus and Zone Alarm firewall. I purchased an I/O Magic USB DVD/CD writer to install programs and it had issues at first. The Acer would not recognize the drive. After reading thru several blogs I found a fix. A thicker USB cable than the one supplied by I/O Magic cured the problem. Evidently the thinner cable lost too much power? The one problem with the Acer(and this is nitpicking), the black case shows every finger print that touches it.
