Does everything as advertised. Battery life and portability a big plus. Wish that manufacturers would allow for a mini-USB power option. Brick, though small, is still bricky -and can't compare to Apple's. I use it to surf the web, blog, and do minor computing. Video can be choppy if too much other stuff happening. Windows XP tolerable- very happy it isn't Vista. Linux would be fine, but you can't run iTunes. Because you can run iTunes, this little machine becomes a very capable large screen video iPod. Skype runs okay. Video okay. Don't mind small keyboard because I used to type long documents on a Psion Series 5 and had no problems (and I do have normal sized hands) -it just takes getting used to. The SD card slots are a bonus, and Picasa runs acceptably well on it to make it a great companion to my cameras.
Minuses -track pad button position a disaster -I end up using a mouse which defeats the portability positives. The machine is a fingerprint magnet. Upgrading RAM involves voiding your warranty and taking apart your machine. 802.11g, not n, and it acts a bit goofy with my Airport Extreme (running n but g capable). I strung up my old 802.11g router just for this little guy and it works better. Software is not optimized for a 8.9inch widescreen. I run OpenOffice and the browsers in full screen mode whenever possible. Speakers awful -bring ear buds. Get more detail about Acer Aspire One AOA150-1126 8.9-Inch Netbook - White.
