I looked at all of the various netbooks and the reviews for the 6 cell Acer Aspire One were so good, that is what I got. All of the reviewers that gave it a 5 star review, were right on!
The build quality is excellent. The keyboard is the best (and I tried out a few other brands in the big box stores before buying) and the display is very good. XP is a big plus! I have yet to talk to anyone who likes their laptops with Vista on them. Never! Not one! So XP really pushed me to the Acer netbook versus a normal laptop.
I love showing it off -- everyone is impressed. I think Amazon should give me a commission: So far, a coworker has gotten one; my sister just bought one; my neighbor is planning on getting THREE for Christmas -- one for himself (he travels a lot) and one for each of his two kids (who are college students).
