I read all the reviews and looked at the unit at Costco first hand before pulling the trigger on this for my wife and mother-in-law. Both needed a small light internet machine to remote log-in into work. However, the work issed laptops didn't fill the bill and the ones that do were cost prohibitive. The Aspire One performs as advertised and is solidly built for the road. Processing speed is not really an issue. Just don't do photoshop or heavy multimedia work. Touch typing is easy after a short adjustment time. Battery life is good with the 6 cell versus the ones at Costco (3 cell).
