I bought one these Acer netbooks last month and then ended up buying two more as gifts. The netbook is stylish but whats more impressive is its ability to multitask to handle most of my daily needs.
I have some PDAs and have seen ULMPC before but always felt they were too slow but this isnt the case with this netbook. I have tried slingbox and Sony real location on this as well as multi-tasked using MS office and it offers no problems.
Its not meant for serious gamers but I travel a lot and this is awesome for me .
You would need an external CD drive and a blue tooth tongle adds a new dimension to its connectivity .
The webcam is sharp and the audio is satisfactory.
The mouse touchpad isnt great but I use a usb wireless mouse .
I have even tried connecting with LCD monitors so that you can work on a bigger screen at home and unplug to carry.It works well
The 160 GB disk and the long battery life(go for the 6 cell)is excellent value for money
The office 2007 suite is on a trial and so is the antivirus Mc Afee
I installed my Office 2003 and use the free antivirus Avast Home Edition
I would recommend disabling anything from start-up which you dont immediately amd want the netbook boots up 30 sec approx
Though its still early days for me I would still recommend this product .
